Along the way we have come across lots of great people and organisations. In no particular order:
We first met Kevin when he turned up as a +1 at our wedding in Phuket in 1993, he had recently arrived with Denise to set-up Sunsail in SE Asia. Fortunately for us he was generous with the loan of his boats and needed guinea pigs for his RYA sailing courses. It was Kevin that introduced us to sailing. Since then he has developed his own successful yacht charter business based in Phuket. Oddly he never seemed too keen on getting the sails up!
When is came time to buy Linea we needed a survey, as we knew not a lot about buying a boat. We came across John Venner who did a great job for us. He was happy to explain the implications and suggested actions as he identified various points that might need attention and also just generally give advise. He followed up with a comprehensive report and was happy to answer further queries.
For some time Ian has been saying he needs to be more flexible (physically not emotionally – the later is a bigger challenge!), so whilst on Koh Tao we took the opportunity to try out yoga. Anne-Marie at OceanSound was a great teacher, after 3 weeks Ian can bend south of his knee.
We met Maria and Elio in Ceuta after some impressive parking of their yacht. When we arrived in Marbella we took the opportunity to look them up and try the great food they produce in a fabulous 16th century restaurant in the heart of the old quarter of Marbella.
